Having grown up on a farm, Matt used the common sense grounding of a rural upbringing to propel a corporate career that saw him become a main board director of a $500M telecoms company by the age of 28 before joining Barclays Bank as one of their youngest senior executives at just 31.
Despite a successful corporate career, in 2003 Matt decided to strike out on his own and has since built a multi-million dollar global consultancy called Positive Momentum and also travels the world speaking at conferences and events engaging audiences with his high energy, entertaining and no nonsense style. He uses his practical and real-world experience of corporate life at all levels to connect, inspire, motivate and educate.
With over 12 years of professional speaking and compereing experience with more than 250,000 delegates from all over the world, and with some of the world’s best known brands that book him again and again, you can be assured that by hiring Matt you are in very good company.
“He gets it. Every time. His enthusiasm is infectious, his content and case studies are both credible and authentic. He cares as much about what happens afterwards as he does during the assignment. A partner, not just a keynote speaker for hire.”
Steve Allen, Vice President Global Payments, Barclays Plc
“Whilst it is difficult to meet peoples demand on the inflationary used topic of “leadership”, Matt managed to take the group of General Managers by storm. His “no bullshit” approach to get the truth and his heartfelt beliefs across, has struck a chord with everybody in the room. This coupled with a very entertaining and humorous style has turned out to offer more than a day 2 leadership conference in less than 2 hours I can only highly recommend Matt as a speaker that walks his own talk. Worth every penny.”
“Matt designs, facilitates and brings my annual offsite for my team of 500 people in the US to life. He takes the time to really understand my business and is the only external person I would trust with this important event. Our feedback since he has been involved is off the scale.”
John Fawcett, CFO, Citizens Bank
