Jeremy Nicholas is a writer and broadcaster with thirty years on TV and radio, most of it with the BBC. He's best known for presenting the breakfast show on BBC London as well as The World Today on the BBC World Service.
Globally he's known for his live commentary of the Paralympics at London 2012 and subsequent World Championships. Kids (and big kids) across the world know him as the voice of the best selling FIFA video games. Over the years for the BBC he's commentated on many football finals at Wembley, royal events and general elections.
Jeremy is an ideal facilitator for your event. With his wealth of experience as a TV and radio presenter he's often used by blue chip companies like IBM and Samsung to host their events. He's widely regarded as someone who can bring a discussion to life, by making it accessible to everyone in the room. He's particularly good at moderating panels, drawing on years of interviewing guests on his radio show. He's taught at the BBC College of Journalism, so he's considered an expert in his field.
His radio work has been recognised with a Sony award and he won a New York Academy award for his live commentary at the Hillsborough Disaster.
A great lover of sport, Jeremy has worked as the stadium announcer at Wembley, Twickenham and for sixteen years at West Ham United FC. He's used to standing on a pitch with a microphone and talking to 85,000 people, so he's very at home in front of an audience.
“Jeremy made a strong contribution to the flow of our conference at IBM. The segments in between the speaker slots lightened the mood and prepared us for the next course. The Q&A session was turned by Jeremy from a run of the mill praisefest into something more interesting. Great event and yes I’d book him again.”
"Thank you so much for auctioneering at the dinner. It was a great event and everyone seemed to be having a wonderful time."
"Jeremy is the perfect speaker – witty, entertaining and right on target. I have no hesitation in recommending him for any corporate or social event."
"Jeremy was extremely witty and charismatic banter. He is able to fascinate guests and make them laugh with a simple opening speech. As a MC he was able to understand his audience's expectations and seemed unrehearsed the entire time. Jeremy found the perfect way to tie together the formal occasion and keeping it light."
